Chillisoft appoints new business manager amidst growth
The cyber focused company appoints Daniel Djundek as the distie continues to add vendors to its portfolio
Cybersecurity distributor Chillisoft has recently selected Daniel Djundjek as its new business manager, as the company continues to expand.
Gavin Lawless CEO at Chillisoft told CRN Australia that the distributor has signed a number of new vendors over the past two months and Djundjek will be overseeing those accounts.
“Djundjek will be responsible for onboarding a number of those vendors and executing on the vendor business plans,” he said.
Djundjek has deep experience in the distributor sector previously working at Tech Data/Orca Tech for six years, and Arrow prior to that.
Lawless said they will continue to expand their vendor list with emerging vendors who are “looking for a true value added distributor who will give those vendors greater scale”.
Observing the cybersecurity space within the channel, Lawless said their vendors are looking for partners who can take a proactive approach to engagement.
“Each vendor has a specific opportunity and differentiation which needs to be brought to customers in a deliberate manner,” he said.
“Just like in the distribution space, there have been many acquisitions in the partner space, and that throws up many opportunities as well as challenges.
He added, “Our vendors are often looking for more consultative - sometimes niche - partners who are willing to proactively take new vendor solutions to their customers.”
As the cybersecurity landscape continues to evolve and expand, Lawless explained that more emerging vendors with robust and differentiated technology become relevant to partners and customers.
“Our role is to work with those emerging vendors and recruit the right partners to be a part of that journey,” he said.
“Partners who get on board early are likely to get outsized rewards and bring technology to their customers which gives the customer additional layers of protection and allows the partner to increase their standing with their customers.”
