InTechnology has appointed Jason Webb as its new chief commercial officer as the company continues to support end-of-life transitioning for communication products.

According to the distie, Webb’s role will focus on guiding government and enterprise organisations through structured migration pathways from ageing duress infrastructure to next-generation RTLS platforms that deliver real-time location accuracy, mobile-first workflows and compliance-ready audit capability.

He will also work closely with the channel to enable partners with technical clarity, commercial alignment and go-to-market support to capitalise on this significant transition opportunity.

Webb told CRN Australia that his goal is to strengthen inTechnology’s position as the trusted migration partner for enterprise organisations transitioning away from ageing duress systems.

“That means building structured pathways from legacy infrastructure to scalable BLE 5.1 and location intelligence platforms,” he said.

“At the same time, I want to deepen our collaboration with channel partners so we can collectively deliver safer, smarter environments across healthcare, corrections and government.”

Webb brings more than 20 years of ICT and telecommunications leadership experience across defence, mining, government and high-security environments in Australia, the UK and Europe.

His background includes delivering secure communications infrastructure across Royal Air Force bases, Royal Navy facilities, Army sites and classified government estates, as well as leading advanced communication networks, Wi-Fi platforms and Real Time Location Systems across complex Australian mining operations.

Webb said his background across defence, mining, government and other high-security environments has shaped how he approaches technology.

“With a strong focus on resilience, compliance and operational outcomes,” he said.

“Delivering secure communications across Royal Air Force bases, Royal Navy facilities and large-scale mining operations requires precision and reliability. That experience translates directly into modern RTLS and mobile duress deployments, where accuracy, uptime and governance are critical.”

Webb said he is joining inTechnology at a “pivotal moment for the industry”.

“With the end of life of legacy platforms like Bosch Security Escort, organisations are reassessing how they approach safety, mobility and real-time visibility,” he explained.

“The transition to BLE 5.1 and Bluetooth Direction Finding represents a genuine step change in accuracy and capability.

“Being part of guiding customers through that transformation — and doing it in a structured, future-ready way — is something I’m genuinely passionate about.”

Webb wants partners and customers to know that this transition doesn’t need to be disruptive or uncertain.

“It can be strategic and well-planned. Our focus is on providing clarity — technically and commercially — so organisations can move forward with confidence,” he said.

“For our channel partners, there is significant opportunity in this market shift, and we’re committed to equipping them with the tools, enablement and support to lead that conversation.”
