Value add distributor InTechnology has appointed Karryn Panoutsopoulos as its regional enterprise account executive for APAC.

In this role, she will be in charge of accelerating communication software Spok across the APAC region. She will also be driving SpectraLink enterprise mobility to enable reliable, real-time clinician connectivity for partners.

This appointment comes at an opportune time as the New South Wales Health department begins to roll out the Single Digital Patient Record this year.

Speaking to CRN Australia, Mark Winter, CEO at InTechnology said, “Our focus for her is taking the Spok console platform to the market and the Spok clinical test result technology [out to market].

“The big push for that is around the New South Wales Health and Epic Systems rollout, because they're going to be putting a single digital patient record on handheld devices, like as an example of SpectraLink. But they also need a way of knowing where doctors are and getting the right message to them at the right time.”

He added, “[She’s a] very good employee for us.”

Panoutsopoulos arrives as a proven leader in healthcare communications, bringing experience from Wavelink Australia where she delivered SpectraLink solutions into demanding hospitals and mission-critical settings.

For Winter at InTechnology, hiring Panoutsopoulos is about helping partners to expand or land their customers.

“Spok as an example, have you know they have hundreds of customers across the country, and they're currently using their messaging product, and now it's about taking them to the next level and bringing additional console operator system to those customers,” he said.

Her role is APAC focused to help bring SpectraLink and Spok to more Asia-based partners.

“It's a market that demands this technology, and so Panoutsopoulos is going to be bringing her knowledge and experience to help us penetrate that market as well,” Winter explained.

“She is taking and spearheading [these brands] from a regional perspective for us in relation to the Spok business.”

Panoutsopoulos began her role earlier this week. She will be based in Melbourne.
