What was discussed at the Women of the Channel lunch held in Singapore.

Personal branding, breaking glass ceilings, and being undefined by other people’s limitations were discussed at an intimate Women of the Channel Asia lunch.

Held at Osteria Mozza at the Hilton Orchard Singapore, close to 20 women from Asia’s IT channel came together to network, connect and catch up over lunch.

During the lunch, Rosie Cotterill, VP International Communities at The Channel Company welcomed attendees discussing the importance of these lunches and how exciting it is to be back together as a community.

Athina Mallis, editor at CRN Australia also spoke about how these events are always needed to inspire and encourage each other.

Namrata Kapur, director of growth marketing APAC at IBM finished the formalities by thanking for all the women being a part of the IT channel, and how we need to continue to support each other’s stories and break glass ceilings.

“We need to be someone can that someone else can relate to or learn from,” Kapur said.

During the lunch, Mallis highlighted the upcoming Women of the Channel Asia summit that will be returning to Singapore on September 9.

This event is for leading women in the IT Channel who are seeking to advance organisational diversity and promote women in technology.
