Accenture has acquired Solid-serVision in another move to boost the company’s ServiceNow capabilities
Solid-serVision is one of the largest independent ServiceNow solution providers in Germany.
The deal, which builds on Accenture's other recent acquisitions, boosts the company's ability to deliver ServiceNow’s cloud-based workflow and automation platform as a managed service throughout continental Europe. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
"This acquisition is going to help our expansion into the continent … The European market is starting to open up to the use of cloud," said Jack Sepple, senior managing director of Accenture Cloud, in an interview with CRN USA.
Following the close of the deal Wednesday morning, Solid-serVision was tucked into Accenture’s ServiceNow Practice, bringing with it an additional 100 ServiceNow specialists, and over 130 ServiceNow certifications, to the company’s global practice.
"Accenture believes ServiceNow is going to be one of the winners in the cloud marketplace, and although we already had some good skills across Accenture’s global ServiceNow practice, we view this acquisition as a move that will help us to continue to be a leader in that space," Sepple said. "We want to be number one."
"Our clients are looking towards as-a-service operating models as they move towards the cloud ... This acquisition builds on a number of investments we’ve made in our cloud business to help our customers on their journey to cloud," he said.
Accenture hasn't been shy about rolling up popular enterprise application certifications and experts. In November, the company bought Canada's Nashco, which added 25 certified ServiceNow specialists to Accenture's team. More recently it bought Atlanta-based Cloud Sherpas, a move that brought an additional 500 Salesforce.com certified experts to its practice.
