Acronis to invest US$10m in MSP incentives

Backup software vendor Acronis will invest US$10 million in its service provider incentive program.

The vendor will give eligible partners either three or six months of free usage if they sign up for a cloud service provider contract. Acronis will also launch a training program for traditional resellers.

The investment comes from an earlier US$147 million injection from US bank Goldman Sachs announced last month. It also aims in part to help fast-track the development of products like the Acronis Cyber Platform, Cyber Protection solutions, Cyber cloud and more.

Acronis partners that sign up for a cloud service provider contract will get six months of free usage, while those who sign up between 7 October and 31 December 2019 will get three months of free usage.

Meanwhile the training program, slated to launch in Q4 of this year, aims to educate traditional resellers on the benefits available if they convert to MSPs, like acquiring new customers, reducing churn and increasing revenues.

“The Acronis network has over 5800 active service providers who are building and growing their business with Acronis’ cyber protection solutions,” Acronis chief executive Serguei Beloussov said.

“With the launch of this new incentive program, we are giving traditional resellers an opportunity to grow with us and build a profitable business as service providers, as well as offering MSPs the option to jumpstart their cyber protection business with Acronis.”

The Acronis Global Cyber Summit will take place on 13 to 16 October 2019 in Miami, bringing together MSPs, resellers and software developer partners.
