Anittel enters trading halt

Anittel has entered a trading halt as it prepares to announce a major new deal tomorrow morning.

The serial CRN Fast50 winner went into a trading halt late this afternoon. Anittel will reveal with whom it has won a “material contract for the provision of Anittel products and services” tomorrow morning prior to the commencement of trade.

No details were released and the company declined to comment on the impending announcement when contacted by CRN.

It's been a busy year for the services provider. So far this year the company has launched a hosted Cisco unified communications solution, signing a three year “multi-million” dollar deal with regional employment organisation Joblink Plus, among several other new customers, to roll the solution out to its 300 users and 37 regional offices across NSW.

Anittel also this year announced plans to upgrade equipment in each of its 12 national points of interconnect. It will spend $2.5 million on new Cisco routers and $1 million on new fibre leasing arrangements.
