Hours before posting its third-quarter earnings Wednesday morning Sydney time, Apple experienced a bevy of outages for several services, including the App Store, iTunes Store, Apple Music and Apple TV.
"Some users are affected," stated Apple on its System Status page. "Users are experiencing a problem with the services listed above. We are investigating and will update the status as more information becomes available."
Overall, 12 services were impacted by the outage, which according to Apple began just before midnight Sydney time. As of 4am, the services were up and running again, according to Apple's System Status page.
One of the services impacted by the outage was Apple's Beats 1 radio station, which was supposed to announce nominees for the MTV Video Music Awards exclusively just around the time of the outage.
IT and cloud service providers took to Twitter to talk about the outage:

The service outage comes just a few hours before Apple will post its third-quarter earnings at 5 p.m. EST. An Apple spokesman did not reply to a request for comment before deadline.
