Audio-visual distributor AVT adds Tripleplay's smart TVs and digital signage

UK-based software company Tripleplay has named AVT as its exclusive distributor for Australia and New Zealand, providing sales, support and technical representation for the region.

The audio-visual distributor will carry Tripleplay’s internet protocol television (IPTV), digital signage and video streaming offerings.

“AVT has a fantastic reputation in the region having represented some incredible brands and technologies,” Tripleplay ANZ general manager Shanelle Stokes said.

“Their technical and support offering is second to none and their expertise is something we feel our partners and clients will appreciate and get huge benefit from.”

Tripleplay will open AVT to partners in sectors the distributor hadn't previously worked with, including aged care, hotels, prisons and mining camps.

AVT will also look into extending its customer base to tertiary education with Tripleplay, as it meets student accommodation, signage and lecture capture requirements.

“Tripleplay is a complementary technology to our current solutions and, based on customer demand, is a logical addition to our rapidly growing and evolving product suite,” AVT chief executive Graham Evans said.

“From our earliest engagement with Steve and his team, we felt the fit was right. Tripleplay, the technology solution, aligns with our strategy of a scalable, software-centric consumption model. Tripleplay the business, fits with our agile, innovative and customer-centric ways of working.”
