Specialist headsets and audio product distributor Auroz has won Sennheiser’s business.
The deal will see Auroz handle Sennheiser’s range of contact centre and office products, wired and wireless unified comms kit, and speakerphones.
CRN readers may recall that in March 2018 Sennheiser appointed Leader Computers as distributor for headsets and speakerphones, and also signed VExpress in late 2016.
Both still have the company’s business.
So why a third distie? Geoff Crane, Sennheiser’s ANZ sales director for enterprise solutions told CRN that Auroz’s expertise in the unified communications market made it a fine addition to its stable of distributors.
“That will result in some extra reach for Sennheiser,” Crane said. “That expertise is something we have been seeking for some time.”
Crane also praised Auroz as understanding the many aspects of a big deal that go beyond hardware. “Our brand needs to be well-represented in terms of a value-added distributor,” he said. “That’s a commonly-used term, but we really need someone who can do more than fulfillment.” He believes Auroz can and does go beyond the distribution basics.
With Auroz aboard, Crane said Sennheiser will look to VExpress as its telecoms specialist, with Leader its partner to reach other corners of the wider IT market.
Jason North, Auroz’s national sales manager declared Sennheiser represents “a great opportunity”.
“We are proud to introduce Sennheiser’s best-of-breed products to our reseller partners. For many years our partners have known and relied on our expertise when configuring solutions for their customers. The product line up presents as a compelling reason for customers to choose Sennheiser as their primary headset brand” North said.
The two companies will soon launch a joint campaign to introduce Sennheiser products to Auroz partners. The distributor will also, “in the next few weeks”, create a new partner portal that will include “the tools to ensure success, including access to demonstration equipment and deal registration.”
