Australian-developed cloud billing management software Cloud Ctrl has implemented support for Microsoft indirect cloud solution providers (CSPs).
Microsoft indirect CSPs are typically distributors or specialist resellers that support IT solution providers and resellers with a billing and support platform for the cloud services they sell into the market.
Cloud Ctrl, developed by Aussie vendor SixPivot, is a multi-cloud billing management application that touts the use of analytics to provide predictive insight into the usage and cost of virtual services.
The software now supports the integration of indirect CSPs’ own cloud billing portals into its platform, addressing a pain point when it comes to estimating costs at the end of a cycle, according to Cloud Ctrl chief executive Faith Rees.
“One of the biggest challenges that Indirect Microsoft CSP distributors face which flows down to their partners or resellers is the ability to provide true cloud cost management and insights across Azure,” Rees said.
Rees said the new feature was a game changer for indirect CSPs, which would normally manually process all the data or build specific tooling to make the information available to their partners.
“Cloud Ctrl automates the conversion of consumption data into usable customer billing information, eliminating days of painstaking work and significantly reducing costs,” she said.
“No other cloud billing management tool, even Microsoft owned Cloudyn, allows Indirect CSP distributors to offer this level of billing and cost transparency to their partners.”
Melbourne-based Microsoft distribution partner rhipe marks one of the first indirect CSPs to partner with Cloud Ctrl, integrating its Prism portal with the platform.
Through the partnership, rhipe partners are able to connect to their disties through its Prism portal, a space for provisioning and transitioning Microsoft tenants, as well as view all their public cloud and CSP subscription in one space through Cloud Ctrl, according to Rees.
“We believe customer demand for cloud-based billing management software is one the rise, as companies seek a more streamlined approach to their business. It’s an exciting time for the industry to innovate and grow,” she added.
