The success in recruiting investors – both local and international – has been credited to Austhink's unique Rationale desktop software package.
“We’re excited about the progress we’ve made and believe our ability to attract offshore investors reflects the quality and content of the offer,” said Gary Mink, director sales and marketing, Austhink Software.
Raising $4.1 million, Austhink claimed that investors were attracted to the Rationale proposition of “simply smarter business”, specifically a tool enabling enhanced case making.
“Rationale addresses the gap between productivity applications that enable us to access, organise and present the massive amount of information available, and those applications that help decision-makers understand the case and make better decisions,” said Mink.
The second round funding closed on November 2, 2007 and for the first time included international investors. While the first round in 2005 was directed at product development and the market readiness of Rationale, this round was focused on the implementation of international sales and marketing initiatives, entry to industry verticals and the delivery of a web-based solution.
