BlueJeans hires former ShoreTel channel manager Ashley Allen

Cloud video vendor BlueJeans has hired Ashley Allen as its new channel sales manager for Australia and New Zealand.

Based in Sydney, Allen will be responsible for the management and growth of BlueJean's partner ecosystem in the region.

She joins a team of three other channel managers in Asia-Pacific, who report directly to APAC director James Brennan. The other three channel managers are Cassandra Paiano, responsible for BlueJeans' partnership with Telstra, Serena Ho, channel sales manager for Asia, and Mario Hilmi, director of partner and business development.

Prior to joining BlueJeans, Allen worked for unified communications vendor ShoreTel for six years. She was most recently distribution and channel programs manager for Australia and New Zealand.

A BlueJeans spokesperson said the company had made a commitment to grow its channel ecosystem over the past six months. The US-based vendor recently partnered with Sydney digital conferencing firm CommuniCloud to offer video communications, third party technology and managed services. Telstra has also partnered with BlueJeans since February 2014.

BlueJeans said 400 Australian companies logged more than 40,000 international video meetings in 2015 using its platform.
