Brisbane-based Azentro deploys mobile repeaters to dairy co-op Norco

Brisbane-based UC and mobility reseller Azentro has helped dairy co-operative Norco to improve network connectivity and embark on a digital transformation.

Working with communications equipment distributor Powertec Telecommunications, Azentro deployed Powertec’s Cel-Fi GO mobile repeaters to kickstart Norco’s transition to a paperless operation.

Norco sought to improve the efficiency of its day-to-day operations within the Gold Coast by taking the paperless route. However the mobile reception at its Gold Coast factory needed a boost before making the transition.

The general manager of the factory Sandra Hollands said the time was right to move to paperless but needed the right expertise to get it rolling.

“The solution was invaluable and a great improvement for our business operation but due to the design and building materials used in the construction of our Gold Coast factory we needed some expert advice and hardware to enact our plans,” Hollands said.

The Cel-Fi GO mobile repeaters, manufactured by US-based Nextivity and distributed exclusively by Powertec, help amplify and disburse mobile reception without causing any interference to the network.

As part of the deployment, Azentro deployed four clusters of signal amplifiers positioned through various locations in the factory.

Hollands added that the repeaters also improved other valuable communication improvements for the factory, including time management, recording and sharing real-time data, communicating with delivery drivers and other external partners, as well as improving onsite health and safety for workers.

“Key production areas including pasteurising, packaging, laboratory and workshops, as well as the milk processing, freezer and storage rooms throughout the facility all received significant signal improvements with no recorded signal loss or call dropouts,” she said.

“Whether it be on our farms or in our rural stores and factories, Norco is continually looking at ways to improve our technology to ensure that we consistently provide our consumers with great quality Norco products.”
