Dicker Data has hired two new managers out of two of its top vendors, with Cisco's Vickie Madeleine and Lenovo's Nicole Freeman coming on board last month.
Madeleine joined Cisco as a business manager at the vendor's partner division in December 2016. Prior to that, she worked for HPE for 10 years, most recently as South Pacific category manager for the data centre hybrid cloud category. She has since taken up the role of Cisco general manager at Dicker Data.
Freeman has taken a vendor alliance manager role at Dicker after more than a year working for Lenovo as its national distribution manager for the PC group, where she was responsible for managing product portfolios with the vendor's distribution partners. Prior to Lenovo, Freeman worked at HP for six years.
They're not the first executives from major Dicker vendors to join the distributor.
HP's business manager for inkjet printing Manpal Jagpal joined Dicker Data as its alliances manager for networks in June last year. He worked for HP in various product, sales and marketing positions across the entire business for 11 years prior to the move.
A month later, HPE's Ishan Limaye joined Dicker Data as national HPE alliance manager. He worked at HP for 12 years, most recently as manager, strategic growth initiatives for HP's server business.
Dicker Data is the largest HPE and HP Inc distributor in Australia, and one of the largest Cisco distributors in the country.
