Digital Lifecycle Group appoints Dr Catherine Jaktman as public sector boss

Management consultant Digital Lifecycle Group (DLG) has appointed Dr Catherine Jaktman to lead its public sector business.

Jaktman will come over from DXC Technology’s Canberra office in a similar role, executive general manager for ANZ public sector digital business and technology transformation.

As part of her role as partner for public sector, Jaktman will manage DLG’s digital transformation advisory services for government clients.

“I welcome Catherine to DLG. She will be invaluable in assisting our public sector clients address the need for the latest independent advice on the most appropriate digital sourcing options, including digital market insights, implementation and ongoing supplier value management approaches,” DLG executive chairman Ian Woollett said.

“Jaktman’s appointment will not only build our capabilities in servicing the public sector, her experience will be pivotal in adding value DLG’s full digital lifecycle proposition.”

Jaktman has more than 20 years of industry experience, including top roles with Information Services Group (ISG), Gartner and the Australian Computer Society.

She also worked with the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA), utility ActewAGL and the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) in various roles.

Jaktman also holds a PhD from the University of Technology Sydney.

“DLG’s public sector business will provide specialist services aligned to the government agenda through innovation and advisory excellence to deliver tangible business outcomes for agencies needing to digitally transform,” Jaktman said.

“We provide support at every stage of the digital lifecycle, from value assessment and discovery, strategic sourcing, complex transition management, specialised benchmarking, third-party cost optimisation, supplier contract reporting, insights and governance services as an independent vendor agnostic client partner.”
