DTA seeking feedback on new telecommunications marketplace

The Digital Transformation Agency (DTA) is seeking feedback on its new whole-of-government Telecommunications Marketplace.

The new marketplace is set to launch early next year and will gradually replace and expand the existing mobile, Internet Based Network Connection Services (IBNCS) and telecommunications services panels.

The marketplace aims to provide federal, state and local government agencies with newer technologies not currently covered, while also increasing access for businesses to access opportunities within the government.

The newer technologies not currently covered that will be available in the new marketplace include:

  • data carriage services
  • internet connection services
  • fixed voice services
  • managed network services
  • managed unified communications services
  • managed voice services
  • dark fibre services
  • managed contact centre services
  • managed mobility services

The DTA is also seeking feedback on the draft Statements of Requirements and Head Agreement. The request for information is open until 8 October 2019, followed by an open approach to the market through AusTender.
