Ingram Micro adds AvePoint and Geo to cloud portfolio

Ingram Micro has signed distribution deals with cloud solutions providers AvePoint and Geo as the distributor upgrades its cloud marketplace.

US-based AvePoint is a Microsoft global ISV partner specialising in governance, compliance, and management software for Office 365.

The company recently hired Andre Carpenter out of Oracle as its first ANZ channel chief, three years after opening its first Australian office in Sydney.

"We are extremely excited to partner with Ingram Micro as we embark on the channel business in the ANZ region," Carpenter said.

"The Ingram Cloud Marketplace offers a great platform for our own cloud offering - AvePoint Online Services for Partners - which is designed to enable MSPs and their customers to get the most out of their Microsoft Office 365 investment.”

“We saw this as a huge opportunity to take our strong portfolio out to market through an existing trusted channel for top Microsoft partners, so we saw the Ingram Micro partnership as a natural progression for AvePoint.”

Geo provides cloud-based business productivity tools and applications for businesses of all sizes mobile and distributed workforces, and is based on Amazon Web Services.

Geo chief executive Kylie O’Reilly said the company is delighted to have such a high-calibre channel partner and Ingram Micro’s reach will significantly increase Geo’s opportunity to expand in the coming year.

“The Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace is quickly becoming a preferred destination for channel partners looking to successfully grow their business and footprint in the cloud,” O’Reilly said.

Ahead of the company’s 2018 Cloud Summit, Ingram Micro ANZ director of cloud services Lee Welch said the distributor has made the marketplace easier to access and navigate, while expanding its range of vendors.

“The new and improved Cloud Marketplace unified control panel provides a seamless user experience, combining convenience and speed with improved functionality and a sleek new look,” Welch said.

“We are also pleased to announce that two new providers are joining the line-up of solutions that can be accessed via our Cloud Marketplace. They represent best in class and will provide our channel partners with an even greater selection of cloud solutions for their clients.”
