IP business communications provider Interactive Intelligence has appointed Sydney-based Tecala Group as a channel partner in the Asia Pacific region.

Under the agreement, Tecala Group will build out sales, professional services and support teams dedicated to the Interactive Intelligence product portfolio.

Included in the portfolio is software and services for contact centre automation, enterprise IP telephony and business process automation.

Tecala Group has also implemented Interactive Intelligence's technology in-house, and undertaken pre-sales training.

Gleuto Serafim, chief executive officer at Tecala Group, said the company "strategically selects partners based on their ability to exceed market expectations around customer satisfaction, application innovation and IT governance".

"The feature-rich Interactive Intelligence product portfolio fits our strategy in providing organisations with the ability to enhance their messaging and communications platforms while at the same time complimenting our existing solutions which optimise ICT," said Serafim.

Brendan Maree, ANZ country manager at Interactive Intelligence, said Tecala Group has "superior skills" in providing solutions for public and private sector clients.

"All our partners are committed to offering the most innovative yet practical solutions anywhere for contact centre automation, enterprise IP telephony, enterprise messaging, self-service automation and SIP-supported VoIP," he said.

Tecala Group, which delivers infrastructure solutions services, adds Interactive to its existing list of high profile partners including Microsoft, EMC, VMWare, Citrix, IBM, Uecomm and Nimsoft.

Interactive Intelligence's ANZ partners include Amtel Communications, CallTime Solutions, CPS Technology Group, Hoodsweeney Technology, QPC, Sietec, and UBS Solutions.
