Internode announces new 1.2TB ADSL2+ plan

Internode has rejigged its ADSL2+ plans, with data quota options now topping out at 1.2TB for $139.95 per month (unbundled). The ISP has also added an 'intermediate' 60GB option, with prices starting at $29.95 per month.

The lower prices have come at the cost of several previously existing plans. 200GB quotas are no longer offered across the Internode Easy range, which means customers will need to choose between 60GB or 300GB, with a $20 leap in price. On the plus side, the 300GB data quota plans have been reduced by $10 a month across the board.

“Only customers on our existing 300GB plans will automatically migrate to the new plans," said Internode product manager Jim Kellett. "Other customers can choose to move to a new plan if they want or stay on the current plan if they prefer.”

It's a big jump in quota from 60GB to 300GB. If you want more than 60GB, but aren't prepared to pay this much, there are other options available. If all you care about is price, TPG offers an unbundled 150GB data plan for $39.99 a month. Unlike Internode, TPG divides its customers' data usage into peak/off-peak segments, however.

If you're choosing an internet service provider, the Whistleout website is also a good port of call.
