Kogan extends LivePrice model to Australia

Australian-headquartered Kogan has extended the LivePrice buying model to Australia after its initial launch in the UK last December.

The LivePrice pricing model allowed shoppers to buy goods before manufacturing. In turn, consumers would pay for the manufacturing cost and Kogan would avoid finance costs.

“Even though no other manufacturers or retailers are up front about it; every product you purchase has a hidden cost of finance included in its price," said founder Ruslan Kogan.

“It cuts out the hidden cost of finance built into price tags of all goods," he said.

Prices would gradually rise throughout the manufacturing and shipping process based on a number of factors until it eventually reached retail pricing.

Kogan LivePrice was to be rolled out across Australia today.
