LG G3 arrives in Australian stores
The LG G3 smartphone.

The LG G3 is available for $799 through Harvey Norman, Dick Smith, Allphones, JB Hi-Fi, Fone Zone, Virgin Mobile, Network Communications and other selected retailers.

The phone has a quad-HD display, Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via a MicroSD card) and a laser auto-focus camera.

Pre-sales deals via Telstra, Optus and Vodaphone include additional accessories and devices, including the G Watch, an LG wireless charger and a 'Red' deal from Vodaphone.

LG's G Watch is a wearable computer with voice and touch controls which can synchronise to devices using Android 4.3+.

The vendor's mobile communications division sold 14.5 million smartphones in the second quarter of 2014, a 20 per cent increase on the previous year's performance.

General manager of LG Australia Lambro Skropridis said: "A lot of effort has gone into the development of the LG G3, globally. From R&D through to marketing and PR, it has all been driven towards making the device the most successful in our history."
