Supply-chain mobility and distributor Wavelink has expanded its distribution channel in Australia with the appointment of specialist importer and point-of-sale wholesaler Aniluin.
Aniluin will distribute Wavelink's entire range of enterprise mobility management, connectivity and voice solutions, including its Velocity productivity solution.
Starting as a cash register and point-of-sales equipment distributor in the early 1980s, Aniluin has expanded its business to include data capture products, such as mobile computers, barcode scanners, label printers and software. The company operates across Australia from warehouses in Sydney and Brisbane.
The addition of Wavelink's distribution portfolio will complement Aniluin's offering of Cipherlab handheld computers and scanner devices, which it has offered in Australia since 2015.
Wavelink's Velocity solution comprises productivity applications for mobile users to access legacy host system data on next-generation Android mobiles, allowing worksites and warehouses to upgrade personal devices that remain compatible with core company systems.
Andrew Ballantyne, Aniluin national sales manager, said Wavelink products were well-suited to the logistics and warehousing markets.
"(Wavelink's) thin client terminal emulation and barcoding feature functionality for enterprise resource and planning requirements offer clear benefits and boost productivity, enabling Aniluin to see massive savings in labour costs," he said.
"We are delighted to have secured this appointment and will now be able to offer an integrated offering with Cipherlab. We look forward to building a mutually beneficial business together in 2017 and beyond.”
Wavelink Australia and New Zealand country manager Simon Storey said Aniluin's solid reputation in the market made it an ideal partner.
"With the market demanding more and more Android-based solutions, Aniluin is a perfect company to partner with in order to tap into this opportunity among warehouse, logistics and distribution companies who face increasing competition and rising customer expectations as they strive to grow market share,” he said.
