The company would not be drawn on specific Australian figures, but said the majority of growth is coming via channel agreements with SAP and Microsoft.
SAP sells a rebadged version of Open Text's LiveLink content management solution as its Archive Server offering.
“SAP is contributing the most to our current growth by incorporating LiveLink within their tools,” says Graham Pullen, vice president of Asia Pacific for Open Text.
Chris Petersen, Manager for Channel Alliances and Partners A/NZ, adds: “We’re almost a partner by stealth, and our customer base is growing as a result.”
Open Text has recently “rebuilt” its local leadership team, and claims it will make more hires in the coming months – predominately in sales, account management, marketing, technical specialists and the channel.
The company is in the process of building its channels across Asia to create growth opportunities, particularly in India and China.
“We believe we’ll be the first vendor in the ECM space to be pushing $1 billion in revenues,” claims Pullen.
“The work we’re doing with SAP and in the channel is what is going to take us towards achieving that mark.”
