SoftwareONE steps into managed services

Swiss software-centric consultancy service provider SoftwareONE has quietly added managed services to its product portfolio.

In Australia the company is most often perceived as a Microsoft License Solution Provider (LSP), but in late June 2019 ticked all the boxes to win Microsoft’s Azure Expert Managed Services Provider (MSP) competence.

Australian managing director Stuart Hogben told CRN he believes SoftwareONE is the first company to be both an Azure MSP and a Microsoft LSP, and is one of just ten companies in Australia to hold the Azure competency.

The company has now launched a new range of services branded “Azure Simple”.

“We provide a full wrapper around Azure tenancy management,” Hogben explained. “It’s about running Azure in the same way a Fujitsu or a DXC would run an outsourced data centre. We run it from the scaffold up.”

SoftwareONE has recruited Azure-skilled staff to deliver its services locally.

“Everyone wants to be an MSP,” Hogben said. “This is a significant step forward in our transformation.”

SoftwareONE’s go-to-market strategy is currently being co-developed with Microsoft, but Hogben said he expects to focus on current customers rather than targeting particular verticals.

Flexera has also given SoftwareONE reason to smile of late, naming it Global Partner of the Year in late July.
