Endpoint Focus is an Australian-owned, Melbourne-based systems integrator founded in 2016. While relatively small, the team is mighty. Customer success story: Western Health

Rather than relying on established playbooks, Endpoint Focus is known for tackling emerging technologies and environments that others haven't quite gotten their head around yet. This was evidenced by Australia's first large-scale deployment of the Island Enterprise Browser at Western Health, delivered without an existing local partner model or a locally tested implementation roadmap.

Western Health, one of Victoria's largest healthcare providers, experienced increasing pressure to modernise browser security without disrupting critical clinical operations. They were managing thousands of endpoints across multiple hospital sites, legacy clinical applications dependent on Internet Explorer, and rising risk associated with browser-based access to sensitive patient data. Replacing legacy applications or re-platforming systems was not viable due to cost, risk, and operational disruption.

Endpoint Focus facilitated the introduction to Island and helped manage the proof of value. After Western Health’s own engineers managed the technical delivery, they called Endpoint Focus back in to assist. Endpoint deployed a full-time technical architect and program manager to the Western Health team, working across multiple parts of the business to optimise the end-user experience, drive adoption, and develop and test new use cases.

The numbers were hard to argue with. Western Health completed its fastest-ever enterprise technology transaction, moving from proof of value to purchase order in just three months. Technical issues were reduced from more than 100 to fewer than 30 during rollout, and the organisation secured browser-based workflows without replacing legacy systems, avoiding significant capital expenditure.

Innovation in practice

This project did not just introduce a new technology. It created a repeatable deployment model for secure enterprise browsing in highly complex healthcare environments, built from scratch in a live clinical setting with no local precedent to draw from.

Their engineers understand the challenges organisations face in complex environments with point security tools, where IT teams commonly struggle to integrate everything into a secure but seamless experience for their staff. The goal is always to reduce friction, not add to it.
