Wilhelm Hamman is channel account director for Australia, Vivek Santhana and Murray Whitlocke-Jones are customer solution architects for Australia and Matthew Rounthwaite is a customer solution architect based in New Zealand.

The company has hired the team to focus on its Managed Services market in Australia and New Zealand.

"Drawing on the strengths of CA's recent acquisitions of Orchestria and Eurekify, these new products meet the growing need for organisations to minimise risk and verify compliance across their business data," said Klasie Holtzhausen, director of channel sales CA Australia

"CA is currently building its reseller network to support these products in Australia and New Zealand."

Holtzhausen said given the economic climate, the managed services business will continue to grow as it provides customers with the options and best practices to best support their IT environments.

"This has made it a natural fit for CA to commit new staff and resources to our partners and customers in this area," he added.

"We have a revised and refreshed channel team and I am confident that their individual expertise will be a tremendous asset to CA's managed services business."

Hamman has worked for CA's South African operations for nine years in technical and sales and roles with service providers in the region.

Santhana and Whitlocke-Jones will work with some of CA's principal partners to provide a greater focus on its managed service offerings.

Santhana has over 10 years experience in the IT and Telecommunications industry, having worked in the US for AT&T and Verizon.

He joined CA through its acquisition of Concord Communications three and a half years ago. His first role being a Principal Consultant in CA's technical sales organisation.

Whitlocke-Jones has worked within the managed services industry throughout his career, most recently holding positions at Promina and Suncorp as a solutions architect.

Prior to this, he spent seven years with Compaq/HP as a worldwide consultant for Managed Services and outsourcing.

Rounthwaite will assist in the development of CA offerings.

Prior to taking this newly created role, Rounthwaite held various architect positions including at Unisys in both New Zealand and the UK.

Most recently he was the head of Security for CA's services division in EMEA.

The products that have been launched are;

CA Enterprise Log Manager which collects, manages and archives the log data from IT systems and security devices including firewalls, operating systems and applications.

CA DLP (Data Loss Prevention) to secure data, control access to IT resources, and facilitate compliance with information security regulations.

CA Role & Compliance Manager is a tool based on the technology CA acquired from Eurekify in 2008.

It's designed to help IT managers correlate user accounts across disparate heterogeneous IT systems to a single identity and will be released later this quarter.
