Educational technology vendor Promethean has appointed a new Australian distributor: Multimedia Technology (MMT).
Promethean offers interactive flat panels displays (IFPDs) and lesson delivery software, all aimed at the education market.
While the company is pleased with its share of the IFPD market in its chosen vertical, it recently conducted a review of its routes to market in Australia. That review identified that introducing greater stock capacity and operational support to the channel in Australia would boost its prospects.
The company therefore went distie-hunting and decided MMT offered “greater geographical reach throughout the whole of Australia” compared to incumbent ASI. As of 1 January 2019, MMT will therefore represent Promethean in Australia.
“We recognise that increasing volume capacity in the region is just one part of the story when going for further growth,” said Ali Hayward, head of UKI and ANZ markets at Promethean. “Multimedia Technology has the infrastructure in place to support the roll out Promethean’s new Partner Accreditation Programme.”
“Crucially, this programme will be closely monitored to ensure that we’re working with the right partners who align with Promethean’s values.”
Mark Eichler, MMT’s purchasing manager, said “We are very pleased to be have been selected as a Promethean Distributor in Australia. In anticipation of the growth in this category we have been investing in additional resources, infrastructure and complimentary products to best support our customers and vendors in this growing segment."
