CRN's latest reader poll asked if you're ready to buy a 5G phone.

And we're proud of the results, because CRN readers are so very, very sensible!

We make that judgement because the bulk of the 191 responses picked the option "About a year from now, once I have a few handsets to choose from".

Another 26 of you reckon that 5G networks could be nicely spread by Christmas, making a purchase sensible in December.

Here's the full set of responses, in handy graph form!

Our next poll is trying to figure out the hot sales prospects for the second half of 2019.

Your options are

  • Business voice thanks to ISDN switchoff and/or NBN arrival
  • PCs thanks to Windows 7 end of life
  • Next-generation networks - WiFi 6, 5G, very fast Ethernet
  • The Internet of Things
  • Anything cloud or SaaS
  • Anything AI
