Zebra Technologies has appointed Richard Tjiputra as head of channels ANZ, with a remit to boost partnerships and drive regional growth.

Tjiputra has been with Zebra for more than a decade in channel development and sales leadership and held a sales account manager role at Motorola.

His early focus will be re-engaging with the channel community, strengthening existing relationships and building a connected ecosystem as the channel pivots away from point solutions.

“I see the channel transitioning from a hardware-centric model to full-stack solution providers, driven by deeper collaboration within the partner ecosystem and the adoption of advanced, outcome-driven solutions,” Tjiputra told CRN Australia.

“My goal is to equip partners with the tools, training and resources they need to succeed in this evolving landscape,” he added.

Longer term, Tjiputra will concentrate on core verticals such as retail and transport and logistics while eyeing opportunities in emerging sectors including government, hospitality and field services.

“With Zebra’s expanding portfolio in automation, mobility, RFID and machine vision, there’s incredible potential to empower partners to deliver end-to-end solutions that address business challenges and drive digital transformation,” he said.

New Zebra Experience Centre to act as partner hub

Partners are facing a complex mix of challenges, according to Tjiputra. They need to bridge technical skills gaps in adopting new technologies, particularly automation and machine vision.

They’re also navigating evolving customer demands for seamless digital transformation and integrated solutions, while contending with economic uncertainties and competitive pressures.

To help address these challenges, Zebra is expanding its hands-on training, demo units and vertical proof-of-concept demonstrations to equip partners with the skills and tools they need.

Its newly expanded Experience Centre will serve as the hub, helping to forge more collaboration across its ecosystem to close skills gaps and promote co-innovation.

“It offers dedicated spaces for real-world simulations, networking and co-innovation, enabling partners and customers to explore tailored solutions and accelerate digital transformation,” he said.

Nearly twice the size of the previous centre, partners can run tailored training sessions, walk customers through live demonstrations and explore solutions in realistic, industry-specific settings.

“By fostering collaboration and accelerating solution adoption, the centre empowers partners to deliver greater value to their customers across industries,” he ended.
