Dicker Data signs Sophos to its cybersecurity arsenal
Dicker Data will distribute Sophos’ cybersecurity portfolio across endpoint, network, email and security operations.
Dicker Data has signed a new distribution agreement with Sophos where it will distribute the cybersecurity portfolio across endpoint, network, email and security operations.
The distributor will also support the continued growth of Sophos’ MSP business and services portfolio, including MDR, advisory services and incident response.
Pennie Stevens, general manager – software ANZ, at Dicker Data told CRN Australia their role at Dicker Data is to continually evaluate and expand the technologies they bring to market so their partners can address the changing needs of their customers.
“Sophos is a natural extension of our cybersecurity portfolio, adding capabilities across endpoint, network, email and security operations, together with managed detection and response, advisory services and incident response,” she said.
Through the partnership, Dicker Data said it will provide local sales, technical, enablement and go-to-market support to help partners build their Sophos capability, develop new cybersecurity opportunities and grow sustainable security practices.
In a statement, Marina Brook, director, channel and commercial sales ANZ at Sophos said, “As our business continues to evolve, so does the opportunity for our partners.
“Together with Dicker Data, we want to expand the Sophos partner ecosystem, create new opportunities across the market and help our partners build stronger, more profitable cybersecurity businesses.”
Looking at the cyber landscape, Stevens said they are seeing the speed and scale at which attacks can now be developed and executed accelerate.
“Sophos has a strong alliance story and can help our partners layer their security offerings to strengthen their coverage,” she noted.
According to Stevens, Dicker Data is building a “broad” cybersecurity ecosystem to give partners choice and help them address those different requirements.
“The addition of Sophos strengthens that ecosystem and gives partners another comprehensive platform through which they can build security and managed-services capabilities,” she said.
“Partners do not need to navigate that complexity alone. Our cybersecurity specialists can work with them to assess customer requirements, design appropriate solutions and build the technical and commercial capability needed to take those solutions to market.”
