Efex continues acquisition spree buys regional partner Compusult
There will be no changes to staff in either company.
Australian solutions provider efex has continued its acquisition spree with the recent purchase of MSP Compusult.
The Victorian-based MSP specialises in rural and regional customers offering cloud solutions, cybersecurity, Virtual CIO and helpdesk support.
Speaking to CRN Australia, CEO and founder, Nick Sheehan said they have an existing business in Shepparton and have admired the Compusult business for a long time.
“We’re very bullish on the growth in Shepparton and the Goulburn Valley and wanted to over-index on that future growth,” he said.
“[Regional Australia] is a huge part of our strategy, especially in the SMB segment.”
With Compusult coming under the efex brand, there will be no changes to staff. Efex is now 350 staff across 22 locations.
Sheehan noted, “Efex loves/appreciates high capability and customer relationships, the staff are fantastic.”
This isn’t the only acquisition that efex has in mind, Sheehan told CRN that it has another four to five lined up “in the near term”.
“We intend to continue to acquire great geography, skills, and capability in verticals we love,” he said.
Last October, Advent Solutions became the majority stakeholder of the solutions provider as it continues its build and buy approach.
“Efex has completed seven acquisitions since 2022. Advent and I see M+A as a key growth pillar in a very fragmented market,” Sheehan noted.
The solutions provider is also continuing to add excellent capability and depth to key portfolios in healthcare and education.
“We’re also growing our internal GRC and cyber capabilities through a lot of investment,” he said.
“We’re working with salesforce to stay at the forefront of AI and business intelligence so that we’re programmatically adding value to customers all the time.”
Last year, efex acquired cybersecurity solutions provider Datcom.
