HPE has hired Andrew Fox as its new general manager for Australia and New Zealand at the newly formed HPE Networking arm.

This appointment follows the recent hiring of Mark Ablett as VP APJ for HPE Networking, the new arm created after HPE’s acquisition of Juniper Networks.

In this role, Fox will oversee strategy, sales and operations across the region, guiding the business to expand market presence, deepen customer value, and strengthen partner collaboration while accelerating adoption of HPE Networking’s portfolio of networking solutions.

Speaking to CRN Australia, Fox said the channel is a foundational pillar and a strategic priority for him.

“In my role as general manager for HPE Networking, we aim to accelerate the already strong momentum in the sector, take advantage of new products, capabilities and opportunities within our partner ecosystem,” he said.

Fox told CRN Australia they have a range of opportunities that they are “excited to capitalise on”.

“First and foremost is the recent launch and rollout of the new unified HPE Partner Ready Vantage Program, that will streamline the partner experience across our entire portfolio, make it easier to do business with HPE, and open new doors for our partner community,” he said.

At the same time, Fox said they are seeing many organisations across Australia and New Zealand focus on modernising their operations and strengthening IT infrastructure to support new ways of working such as through AI.

“This momentum to adopt AI is a massive opportunity for our partner ecosystem and we are excited to unveil new products, capabilities and opportunities that position our partners best to address the needs of modern businesses and scale their AI practices,” he said.

Fox noted the acquisition of Juniper Networks means HPE will be “uniquely positioned” to deliver unmatched end-to-end value for customers, and new solutions and opportunities for partners.

“The initial partner feedback we have received on the acquisition has been overwhelmingly positive and we are excited to upskill existing partners and onboard new partners to deliver innovative solutions and impactful growth,” he added.

In the next 12 months, Fox said his focus will be on accelerating local customer success, strengthening their partnerships and driving customer and partner collaborations to benefit a wide range of industries in both countries.

“Through HPE Networking’s secure, AI-native networking solutions, there is a massive opportunity to innovate, modernise and drive significant impact for our customers and partners like what we see in HPE Private Cloud AI which grew globally by double-digits YoY in Q3 FY25,” he said.

“Our focus remains on equipping partners with the tools, expertise, and support they need to drive sales, expand their capabilities, and, most importantly, achieve sustained, profitable growth.”

Fox was the New Zealand country manager for HPE Aruba Networking from 2016 and interim head of Australia and New Zealand since May 2024.
